I was drivin on the DC beltway late
at night not doin very much just
cruisin and saw this cop eased
in under an overpass at Colesville
Road and it was odd for me but
shit I thought of what’d happen if
I turned around and came that way
again but doin bout a hundred’n
twenty this time. God damn! he’d
say watchin two red streaks of
tail light that’d be to University
off and gone before he even got
started cause he’s used to watchin
that sixty-mile-an-hour-stuff and
biggest chance for gettin your
tail light caught is move too slow.
