For some reason, I lack much interest in photographing cities or city life. I take to the county instead. So you are unlikely to find here any views of Philadelphia or Pittsburgh or Harrisburg. We have a summer cabin in Bedford County which lies on the eastern side of the Allegheny ridge. Many of the pictures in this album were made in that area. The farm shown here is just across the road. They farm the land and also raise cattle and operate a dairy. In the spring the woman of the house tends a garden where cabbages grow to the size (not kidding) of bushel baskets.
